The best time to book is before the baby arrives. We take bookings 3-4 months in advance and accept limited bookings each month to have flexibility in our schedule when the baby arrives. Your spots are booked on your due date and once the baby arrives we will discuss and set up the actual session date/time. However, if you have not pre-booked your spot, please contact us and we may have last-minute openings to accommodate you.

Newborn sessions are best done within 5-21 days after your baby is born. At this age, they are still sleepy and we can get those beautiful tiny curled-up poses.

Babies over the age of two weeks have more awake time, wake much easier when being repositioned, and generally don’t sleep as soundly as longer newborns.

If your little one was born premature and has a longer NICU stay, we can often stretch this window of time later than if your baby was born at full gestation.

It depends on the package you book. A typical newborn session can last anywhere from 2 to 3.5 hours. This allows for time to nurse and soothe the baby if needed. I provide a warm sleepy environment for sessions and following preparation instructions well can greatly reduce session time.

Because I specialize in newborn to kids photography I supply all the props for use during sessions. I have several collections of headbands, hats, props, wraps, blankets, etc. available for use during sessions. All the Babies are perfect just as they are, and I choose to highlight their natural beauty in the images I capture. I don’t use a lot of over-the-top props, as I feel that this distracts from the perfectness.

Once you have decided to book a session a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit $200 is required to secure your booking.
